Congressional Education

“Geospatial Information is the foundation for just about every activity, human and animal …”
 – Rep. Pete Hoekstra, Chairman, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence [MGT, Nov. 2005]

Though not always apparent, public health and safety, economic development, telecommunications, real estate, entertainment, media, transportation, utilities, and homeland defense and security are all greatly affected by the power of geospatial intelligence.

USGIF, as part of its mission and through the work of its Congressional Subcommittee, facilitates and supports non-lobbying, educational advocacy to educate the public and our representatives in Congress about geospatial intelligence through a variety of events.
