The USGIF Speaker Series is a periodical members-only event that brings together USGIF Members and others within the intelligence community and provides a valuable forum to network, learn, and gain additional insight into issues affecting the community.

Now in its third year, the series presents an intimate setting for compelling speakers to address budgetary, technical, operational, and other facets of intelligence from the user’s perspective. It is truly a rare opportunity to learn from leadership and discuss with peers those issues critical to our tradecraft.

The Department of Defense Office of Public Affairs has determined that DoD personnel may merely attend this event in their personal capacity. The DoD Public Affairs Office has also determined that, for purposes of accepting a gift or reduced or free attendance, the event is a widely attended gathering pursuant to 5 CFR 2635.204(g). This determination is not a DoD endorsement of the event nor approval for widespread attendance. If individual DoD Component commands or organizations determine that attendance by a particular personnel is in DoD interest, those personnel may accept the gift. As other exceptions under 5 CFR 2635.204may allow the acceptance of gifts, DoD personnel are urged to consult their Ethics Counselor.
