USGIF Technology Day

This unique annual event, produced in cooperation with NGA, provides an exclusive opportunity to truly examine next-generation technology offerings for those who have a mission focus of utilizing geospatial intelligence to solve national and global security challenges. TECH DAYS also lends itself to be a great venue to network in a low-key environment among an intimate tradeshow floor and yet not have to compete with keynote speakers or other agendas.
Emerging Technologies Showcase
New to TECH DAYS this year is the Emerging Technology Showcase. As part of the Industry Technology Day, the USGIF Emerging Technologies Subcommittee will highlight a few of the many cutting-edge technologies that are redefining the way our community addresses challenges and enhances our ability to accomplish our missions. Some of the great solutions you will see and hear about include initiatives from NGA's InnoVision Directorate, the eGEOINT office, OGC's worked on OWS 4 and OWS 5, spatial ontology and semantic interoperability, geocoding open source intelligence, and the Rapid Technology Insertion Program.
As part of the Technology Day, the USGIF Technology Committee will present the interoperability technology demonstration to show how the vendor community can currently meet today's GEOINT challenges. It shows users discovering, accessing, and exploiting data from a wide variety of services from all around the world and highlights the collective capabilities of the geospatial intelligence community as it endeavors to deliver products and services can operate with and among each other. Intelligence Community Pavilion
In order to fully achieve our national security objectives and ensure global security for our country’s interests, it takes the collaboration and knowledge base of the entire Intelligence Community working with numerous other agencies and organizations. In the Intelligence Community Pavilion you can witness first hand how our government partners are operating more closely than ever before to meet current and future security challenges.
USGIF Tradecraft Roundtable

Join us for the Geospatial Intelligence Tradecraft Roundtable, hosted by the USGIF Tradecraft Subcommittee. Over lunch, six representatives from leading colleges and universities will guide an hour-long conversation to about the problems and potential solutions for establishing and maintaining a professional workforce of geospatial intelligence professionals. Discussion topics will include where geospatial intelligence professionals come from, what academic backgrounds best prepare an individual for entry in our profession, and what are the critical needs for mid- and late-career development programs.

Registration
There is NO formal registration for the unclassified USGIF Technology Day. Attendees will, however, have to provide basic contact information and photo identification to gain entry to the event.
